First Some History
Minear Scientific Co. Inc. was a pioneer in the industry and developed the first
successful commercial Audiometer. The Audiometer was employed for auricular
visual location, investigation and measurement comparison of noise and
vibration in mechanical and electrical equipment.
Founded in 1967, Minear Company was a successor of Minear Scientific Co. Inc.
Minear Company developed the first hand held industrial electronically amplifying
stethoscope (the “Minearscope”) and also other maintenance instrumentation such as the Minear Audiometer, Minearstrobe, Optical Tachometer, Minearlite, Minear Leakscope and various models of the Minearscope that were regularly upgraded with state of the art technology.
Their latest models includes the Minearscope 555M and the popular model 5005 which feature plug in capability for sound visualization and storage in any instrument such as a computer, oscilloscope or any other recording device. In addition, also includes an industrial type, noise cancelling, heavy duty headphones.
Present Time
Minear Company was an American company located in Santa Clara, California , the heart of Silicon Valley, and after more than 40 years in business supplying instruments to thousand of commercial, industrial, institutional and governmental customers, Minear Company discontinued manufacturing in 2009.
INNOVA was created in 2010 by the former lead manufacturing engineer at Minear Company and is poised to continue providing our customers with our most succesfull product:
“Now with some minor improvements and renamed INNOVASCOPE 5005 this instrument is launched to be identical replacement to the original Minearscope 5005.”
We are planning for future versions of the Innovascope to incorporate technological improvements without losing its “core features”: ease of operation, sturdiness and dependability. We believe those characteristics made this instrument a favorite among many and diverse industries.
